on his finger as he
laughs at his sister Grace.

Max got a new doctor today. He's
been doing great, as you can see
he's even sleeping through his
newest chemo. Dr. Ronald said
he's real proud of him.

Max's nurse Melissa brings in the bag of
thawed umbilical cord blood.

The nursing team double check's Max's
name to make sure he is getting the right
blood. Then they snapped a couple of
polaroids.

With a twist of the wrist, voila! New cells
drip down into Max via gravity. The entire
process took about 14 minutes.

Grace stopped by at the end to check on
her brother. Here you can see the outside
of our door on transplant day.
